AWANA (Approved Workman are not Ashamed)

AWANA is a youth ministry that began in Chicago, Illinois in1950. The ministry is based on scripture memorization. AWANA provides fully integrated programs for ages 2-18, evangelism tools to reach kids and families, biblical discipleship resources that involve parents and churched, healthy mentor and peer relationships and specialized volunteer training.

The mission of AWANA is to work with our ministry partners in creating and disseminating integrated programs; tools and training that equip leaders to evangelize and disciple children and youth for Christ.

Brotherhood

‘Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity’ Psalm 133:1
The mission of Brotherhood is to become knowledgeable of what God requires us as men, establish Godly relationships, become accountable to each other, and to make a positive impact in the community through service and compassion for the kingdom of God.

Condolence Ministry

It is the mission of the Condolence Ministry to offer support and comfort to bereaved families during their time of need.
Our objectives include coordinating with Pastor Daniel and various ministries to assure accurate coverage for funeral services and repass, giving acknowledgement by mail/phone contacting members and giving expressions on the behalf of Pastor Daniel and WHMBC Family and arranging a convenient time to visit members home and assist with any specific need during their hour of bereavement.

Congregational Care Ministry

The Congregational Care Ministry is designed to convey love, care and concern to such White Hill members. Our goal is to ensure that homebound members feel a part of the church family and its services during their absence.
The mission of the Congregational Care Ministry is to show love and support to members who are unable to attend church service(s) due to sickness or other health reasons.

Education Ministry

The mission of White Hill’s Education Ministry is to assist in the development of strong Christian leaders by promoting the acquisition and usage of academic and spiritual knowledge daily while providing ongoing opportunities for educational growth for adults and children.

Faithful Expressions

Faithful Expressions is a youth liturgical dance team consisting of young girls, ages 5 through 18. The purpose for Faithful Expressions is to serve God with our gist of dance and artistic movement. Our movements are ways to offer praise and worship unto God.

It is our mission to exalt the name of the Lord through artistic movement and express out worship, praise and adoration for Jesus Christ.

Finance Ministry

Unlocking the door to financial freedom… being good stewards over God’s financial blessings.

Goals

• To establish a financial information and support base for our congregation and the community we serve, based on God’s biblical principles
• To provide information and guidelines on proper money management
• To encourage financial freedom, and to provide avenues to reach that goal

Health Ministry

The mission of the Health Ministry is to partner with national and local health and wellness organizations, local healthcare providers, community agencies and others to assist our church membership to maintain wellness, improve health, prevent disease and manage their illness.

Hospitality Ministry

It is our mission to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere by greeting old and new members and our guests to the White Hill Worship Experience!

Music Ministry

It is the mission of the Music Ministry to provide an atmosphere conductive to the move of God whereby God can communicate with His people effectively through the preached Word.

Each choir offers its own unique flavor to the Worship Services. This allows the Music Ministry an opportunity to offer a variety of praise and worship styles for the growing membership.

Nursery Ministry

The Nursery Ministry exists to provide opportunities for children to learn God’s Word and to evolve into devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The goal of the Nursery Ministry’s staff is to allow parents to participate in other ministries with the assurance that your child(ren) be cared for in a safe, loving, and enjoyable environment.

Prayer Ministry

‘If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land’ 2 Chronicles 7:14

Our mission is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church by introducing strategies on how to have a more effective prayer life. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we will encourage our congregation to participate in Sweet Hour of Prayer, prayer workshops, develop prayer partners, prayer chains and triple prayer.

S.A.L.T. (Single Adults Learning Together)

The mission of the S.A.L.T. Ministry is to share the unconditional love of God. We seek to provide a place for personal growth and spiritual development for all single adults.

Our goal is to equip singles of all ages to glorify God by applying Biblical values in their personal growth, their relationships and mobilizing singles for service; we want to move in the direction of Christ being the most important ambition in the life of a single person.

Security Ministry

‘Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.’ Psalm 122:7

It is the mission of the Security Ministry to work to provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment as we worship our Almighty God.

Senior Fellowship

This ministry consists of women 50 years of age and above whose life is devoted to Christ. It is our responsibility to guide our younger women and girls. Our duty id to help lead and teach them the responsibility of growing in a Godly life.

Sunday School

‘Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it.’ Proverbs 22:6

The mission of the Sunday School Ministry is to enhance the spiritual education of individuals by supplying God’s Word through classroom lessons and life applications.

Transportation Ministry

It is the mission of the Transportation Ministry to provide dependable and safe transportation to ministries and all who desire to hear God’s Word.

The Transportation Ministry provides accommodations for members to accompany Pastor Jeffery Daniel and the church to outside fellowships and various engagements. This ministry serves to meet the transportation needs for both Sunday Worship Services as well as Wednesday Night Worship.

Usher Ministry

It is the mission of the Usher Ministry to be a dedicated, doorkeeper in the house of God, committed to greeting each person with a smile, a warm welcome, and to promote spiritual growth through our praise to the Almighty God.
Goals

• Inform and empower the congregation to be healthy physically, emotionally and spiritually, through prayer and education.
• Identify and coordinate services based on periodical assessment of the church/community needs.
• Educate the church/ community on pertinent medical issues that are prevalent in our society.

Woman 2 Woman

The purpose of the Woman 2 Woman ministry is: To unify women of God through faith and fellowship. Our desire is to grow collectively as well as individually, in order fulfill the purpose God has placed us here to accomplish.
